What is Jefster?

Jefster is an auction site for small chores, jobs and other services. Both consumers and professionals can use our site to get all kinds of work done at affordable prices, or to bid on other people’s listings. You can currently use our website for free since we launched very recently and haven’t finetuned our website yet.

How does it work?

Jefster works in a very similar way to other, more traditional auctionsites where goods are being sold to the highest bidder. On Jefster, people who want to get work done can create an auction and service providers can interact with the employer and place bids on the assignment. The person who started the auction can choose a winning bid at any time or at the end of the auction’s time. After that, the employer and the service provider can make arrangements to get the work done. After the work is done both the employer and service provider can review each other and submit feedback.

What phase is Jefster in?

We are currently in a pretty early alpha phase with Jefster. Things aren’t as we want them to be yet, but we are working hard to make our service as good as possible in the shortest time possible. With this early alpha version of the site we simply want to test our site’s formula in order to tweak some bits and pieces by the time the complete site can go into beta.
